Sierra Canham
Mental Health Intern
Sierra pivoted to the mental health field after working in the non-profit and advocacy sector. She is currently finishing her master’s degree in Integrated Behavioral Health and is on track to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). She has years of experience with direct client care in acute substance use treatment facilities, which sparked her interest in pursuing mental health.
She believes that therapy is place to explore and discover meaning in your life. Feeling lost? Unsure of who you are? Together, you will work collaboratively to gain insight into these questions and beyond. Sierra is interested in what makes you unique as a person and believes that you are the expert in your own life. Her approach is rooted in the exploration of the self, as well as the systems we exist in: loved ones, friends, family, community and society as whole. Sierra approaches therapy with open-ness, empathy and genuine interest – welcoming laughter, tears, fear, joy or sadness and all in-between in her sessions.
