Jess Grantman, MSW
LICSWJess brings over a decade of experience supporting individuals in their journey toward healing and personal growth and holds clinical licensure in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
She specializes in working with adults navigating the impacts of persistent stress and trauma, including depression, anxiety, substance use concerns, PTSD, C-PTSD, OCD, grief, spiritual/religious abuse, and major life transitions. Jess is also deeply committed to providing LGBTQIA+ affirming psychotherapy and fostering an inclusive, respectful therapeutic space for all identities and backgrounds.
Jess believes that safety—in mind, body, spirit, relationships, and community—is a birthright. This belief shapes her integrative approach to therapy, where people can explore healing through many entry points: emotions, thoughts, sensations, behavior, breath, posture, movement, mindfulness, relationships, spirituality, and nature. These aspects of experience can offer powerful insights and pathways for self-discovery, healing, and growth.
Therapy begins with a wide-angle lens prioritizing building a strong therapeutic alliance rooted in safety, curiosity, collaboration, and mutual respect. Together, one can explore their internal world without judgment, helping one identify and understand the patterns that may be keeping one stuck. As awareness deepens, together one can strengthen their internal and external resources—resilience, strengths, values, skills and natural supports—to move forward with greater ease, purpose, and self-compassion.
Jess draws from a variety of modalities and frameworks, depending on one’s needs and goals, including:
- Talk therapy
- Insight Oriented Therapy
- Mindfulness training
- Psychoeducation
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Gestalt therapy
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Somatic Experiencing (SE)
- Polyvagal Theory
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP)
- Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
- Psychodynamic therapy
Jess also incorporates a touch of humor and lightness where appropriate healing doesn’t always have to be heavy.
