Sara McLoone

MA Clinical Counseling, Pre-LPCC

Sara believes that healing happens through relationship. Grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, she works with people to understand how early experiences shape the ways they connect and protect themselves. She sees each therapeutic relationship as a unique, living process that unfolds through trust and curiosity.

Sara’s interest in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy led her to pursue a master’s degree in mindfulness-based transpersonal counseling at Naropa University. Her work weaves relational and depth-oriented psychotherapy with mindfulness and openness to whatever arises in the moment. Through ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), she supports those she works with in reconnecting with themselves and reclaiming their own meaning and vitality.

Sara has volunteered with people in hospice care and was trained as an end-of-life doula through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA). These experiences continue to inform her deep respect for the full spectrum of the human experience.

Those who work with Sara describe her as grounded, approachable, and attuned, with humor and playfulness naturally woven into her work. Her approach is trauma-informed and sensitive to how survival shapes the ways we show up. Drawing from mindfulness-based traditions, Sara believes the heart of therapy is learning to meet ourselves, clear-eyed and with compassion.

Sara holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University and practices under the supervision of Sarah Fox.
