Michelle Torres
Michelle believes that healing begins from within, and that a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship can help bring this inner wisdom forward. She brings warmth, authenticity, and a spirit of curiosity to her work, creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment.
In therapy, Michelle will walk alongside you as you explore your story. Her approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping you cultivate greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and insight into the patterns, beliefs, and strengths that shape your life. She also recognizes the influence of broader systems—such as societal, community, and family dynamics—that impact one’s lived experience.
Before entering the mental health field, Michelle spent over a decade in education, leadership, and teacher mentoring, with a strong focus on social-emotional learning and fostering inclusive, connected school communities. She holds a Master’s in Education, a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Art, and is currently completing her Master’s in Social Work, with a focus on trauma-informed clinical practice.
Michelle is committed to providing culturally responsive care rooted in social justice values. She strives to practice in ways that are anti-oppressive, liberatory, and grounded in advocacy for individual and collective well-being.
