Greg Hines
MSW Therapy Intern

Greg is presently completing clinical practicum for the Masters of Social Work licensure at University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. In 2021, he completed his M.S. in Yoga Therapy at the Maryland Institute of Integrative Health. Embodiment practice, mindfulness, breathwork and time-honored models of human health inform his techniques to support folks experiencing chronic stress, anxiety and mental health issues. Greg’s approach explores the ecological frameworks grounding Western social work practice and Eastern healing traditions.

Greg sees therapy as a collaborative exercise in the human talent of self-reflection. Fostering compassion and prompting curiosity, therapeutic sessions forge a path to deeper understanding of one’s self and one’s circumstances. Greg believes the body is a site and source of healing. It does not, however, exist in a vacuum. Navigating relationships, social pressures and enduring systems of oppression position each individual as the expert of their own experience.

Greg is passionate about providing support to LGBTQIA+ individuals and families. He is pursuing credits toward the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Sex Therapy certificate.
