Laura believes that every person’s innate capacity to grow and heal can emerge through connection and safety. She strives to create a supportive and accepting space that allows for the exploration of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors within the context of each person’s life. Through increased awareness, compassion, acceptance, and skills, the therapy process becomes a journey where transformation can occur.
Clients describe Laura as supportive, authentic, compassionate, and warm, with a healthy sense of humor. Her strengths-based approach focuses on reducing suffering by nurturing the unique resources and capacities each person already possesses. Her work is trauma-informed and sensitive to the need for healing within relational safety.
Laura is passionate about expanding access to person-centered and harm reduction services for those struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. Laura works collaboratively to support individualized goals and takes great joy in accompanying others on their healing journeys.
Laura brings her social justice values, love for learning, and enthusiasm for collaborative engagement to her role as a clinician. Laura practices under the supervision of Sarah Fox and Ian McLoone.
