Umay Pankratz

Umay Pankratz, BS in Psychology

Umay is an honors student at the University of Minnesota studying psychology and neuroscience. There, she works as a teacher’s assistant for a human neuroanatomy class and enjoys helping her fellow students learn. She is particularly interested in neural plasticity as it relates to mental illness, addiction, and rehabilitation.

One of her primary areas of passion is psychedelic therapy— she believes this novel yet promising treatment can revolutionize mental health care. She is thrilled to be part of Expanse, a pioneering clinic at the forefront of this paradigm shift. She plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and open her own mental health practice one day. In her free time, she enjoys photography, hiking, and cooking!
